Final stages-better pictures to follow

well its finally been bound by my now best friend deeqa! :) im very pleased with the size -it adds to the charm of the book.Initially i thought i may have made a mistake with the smaller size however the reasoning behind the sizing was inkeeping with minimising waste throughout the processs. i have used the pod image as the front cover as i feel it works really well.

binding nightmare!

Been looking into binding and book paper for a while now to no avail-either cant find what I'm looking for or its too expensive! but alas now it is all coming together. Found some great book paper from Arctic Paper and also from a local stockist-just in case something goes wrong. Its cream paper-90gram. I didn't want white as i think the stark color schemes would look better on cream.

The binding was becoming a bit of a worry too however now have enlisted the help of a friend of mine whose studying a degree in Book Arts and she is going to bind my book for me. I wanted a more self sufficient way of binding my books in keeping with the self sustaining topics-Eco friendly ideas behind my project.
I am going to LCC to meet my friend tomorrow-to pic out what covers, colours, types of binding i want-fingers crossed it all works out OK!

page layouts so far-more to follow

These are the layouts of the images, there will be minimal amounts of text making comments on design as an ecosysytem, also subversive messages about aspects of the environment that are pressing issues. I deliberately kept the colours basic and stark in keeping with the kind of style i want the book to take on.

APOLOGIES FOR THE DODGY SIZE ISSUES-NO IDEA WHY THATS HAPPENED??
